Ironman 70.3 Washington - 2021

Race Report

This was the inaugural year for Ironman 70.3 Washington in Maple Valley. It was awesome to have a local Ironman race so close to home with a beautiful venue and a great race course. Our team had a very strong and successful day and earned 2^nd place in the Ironman Triclub competition. All of our athletes had fantastic races and it was good to see everyone out there pushing their limits and making things happen!

It was wonderful to have many fellow teammates out supporting and cheering for our athletes. Pauole Sport was well represented…well done team!

Race highlights:

James Watkins lead the team with an amazing race and 6^th overall, 2nd AG in his 2nd triathlon EVER!
Arielle Knutson was outstanding and had a break out race, huge PR, 2^nd AG and qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championships!
Kris Stolmeier had an exceptional race with a 1^st place finish in her AG!
Mike Nelson dominated his 70-74 AG with a 1^st place finish and an Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualification.
Philip Bridwell, Bastien Catrin, Matt McGregor finished their first Ironman 70.3 race!
