Pauole Sport partners with Seattle Performance Medicine to offer performance and fitness testing to all levels of athletes. Seattle Performance Medicine houses an advanced physiology lab which includes two high accuracy stationary gas exchange systems. We use the most accurate equipment and sophisticated interpretive analysis to produce the most useful, reliable and valid results.

Testing is highly valuable for all athletes from beginners starting an exercise program to an advanced competitive triathlete or runner.  Our testing identifies strengths and limitations related to an individual’s athletic goals.

Measurements include:

  • VO2max, Heart Rate max, Anaerobic Threshold, Aerobic Threshold, Maximal Power, VO2max Power, Threshold Power, Caloric expenditure, fat, carbohydrate and protein burning percentages and Resting Metabolic Rate.
  • Heart Rate zones and power zones are also established for each athlete.
  • Each test is conducted and interpreted by an experienced Exercise Physiologist who will review the results and provide in-depth interpretation and training recommendations. Seattle Performance Medicine has conducted over 3500 physiologic tests.

Fitness Consultation$175   Help establish training goals, exercise and sports nutrition guidelines. Ideal for those looking for periodic advice on specific aspects of training: race season planning, taper plan, off season training, etc. (1 hour)
Resting Metabolic Rate$175  Measurement of resting metabolism, includes daily metabolic rate, percentage of protein utilization (reflects metabolic state), predicted optimal nutritional intake range. (45 minutes)
