  • Why I tri: I do triathlon for so many reasons. It is so much fun, it’s like being a kid again swimming, biking and running with friends. It definitely helps me cope with the stress of work, and gets me outdoors all year long, even in the Seattle weather. I like that I can see measurable improvement from race to race, it is a great feeling of accomplishment to get a big PR!

  • What I appreciate about being on Pauole Sport: I love the amazing people we have on our team. Everyone is so encouraging, and willing to offer advice and friendly competition. Whether you’re a pro or a newbie, you get the same warm welcome.
  • Coach: Kainoa Pauole-Roth
  • What I get from my coach: Having a coach is the best decision I ever made. Triathlon training can be time intensive, so it has been so helpful having a coach to create a training plan I can actually do with my busy work schedule, and that allows me to achieve my race goals. My coach pushes me to be better, while keeping me injury free.
  • Gear advice: Keep it simple. You don’t need any fancy gear – just get out there and start!
  • Former Sport(s): I played competitive tennis and lacrosse in high school, and that was the end of my competitive athletic career until I found triathlon.
